Abdillahi is a seasoned Statistician with over 8 years in Monitoring and Evaluation. He holds Master’s degree in Applied Statistics from Cukurova University in Turkey and Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Hargeisa in Somaliland. He has a robust background in humanitarian, rehabilitative, and developmental works, specifically in Somalia and Somaliland. His professional journey has been marked by the application of monitoring and evaluation concepts, which have been instrumental in assessing and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of various projects, interventions and policies.
Abdillahi has supported several projects especially in Somalia in developing monitoring and evaluation tools that enhance program performance. These tools enable systematic assessment and tracking of progress towards goals, identification of areas for improvement, demonstration of accountability, and facilitation of data-driven decisions. He has also designed data collection tools to capture diverse perspectives of all stakeholders, thereby boosting program participation.
Abdillahi’s technical prowess is evident in his proficiency with SPSS, STATA, R programming, and Python. These skills have been pivotal in his career, allowing him to automate processes, analyze complex data sets, and drive strategic decision-making. He also has a Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Somaliland’s Civil Service Institute, and a Diploma in Market Research from Data and Research Solutions (DARS). He speaks English, Arabic and Somali languages fluently.
